I like to think my proficiency in copywriting and conversions comes from a combination of my natural gifting and my 4 years of studying psychology in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

I was contracted by a not-for-profit organization to do some email marketing for a short period of time. A relationship and marriage seminar was coming up and they needed people to be interested enough to pay to attend. They weren't popular and barely had any published testimonials, so you can only imagine how difficult it must have been to convince young people to part with their dollars. Well, the end of this story is that they did. Here's how I got to them:

1. I studied the target audience (Young people (Aged 25-45).

2. I read the room. They were mostly single, others married and in rocky relationships.

3. I opened with a rather controversial opinion on the movie 'Acrimony'

4. They got interested, they indulged me and I had them.
