Abigail Emilia Felix

I am a student, studying Criminology and security studies in the national open university of Nigeria. I stay In Abuja the state capital. I've always loved writing as I have written few short stories, poems and articles. I have a profile on medium where I write about my thoughts and feelings as I know it resonates with some people who might have been in situations as mine. I have passion for communications and public speaking as well. I'm a 26 years old lady who is an introvert.

I enjoy reading, writing, singing and travelling. I'm a fast learner and I enjoy working with writers and people who enjoy reading as they'll always find a way to challenge me to be a better version of myself. I also made it an aim to read 20-30 books yearly.

I use to think I'm not good enough to write or people wouldn't want to read what I write but after some self evaluation and management and speaking to a mentor, I decided to give it a try and I must confess that the few persons who have one way or the other read what I've written loved it and appreciated it.That was what moved me to open a page on medium where I can write and encourage people with my thoughts. I love reviews and criticism after reading my work as it helps me get a better view on how to do better next time and be a professional one day.

I admire Nicholas Sparks, chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Danielle Steele,Ngugi wa thiong'o, Chinue Achibe, woke Soyinka and many other writers to mention just a few.

I chose Criminology as a major as crime movies keep me in awe. I just love the idea of catching and punishing offenders. I don't really have much to say about myself as I've been less adventurous. I suffered a fracture some time ago and these made me realize certain things about life. Losing both parents made me realize I had to buckle up and face the world despite it's challenges. My parents believed in me, so I believe in myself.
