In a world where people have superhuman abilities, a boy's life takes a tragic turn when his mother is arrested for the murder of his father. However, she did not actually kill him. While pregnant, she is sentenced to 20 years in prison. After giving birth to a son named Zantor while incarcerated, several years pass, and Zantor becomes a teenager. Despite living in a world where children his age awaken their abilities, Zantor is unable to do so. Many peers possess powers to manipulate elements or enhance their existing abilities, while he struggles to keep up. Zantor also faces bullying from both seniors and classmates. One day, trying to muster courage, he stands up to the bullies, but they respond with brutal violence, injuring him and leaving a deep cut on his face with a knife. In his pain and despair, he breaks down in tears as the bullies walk away. The following day, Zantor's situation worsens tragically. His mother is stabbed in the heart by a guard with a spear as she tries to steal food for him. Zantor rushes into the dining room and is horrified to see her suspended in the air, impaled by the spear. Shocked and paralyzed by fear, he cannot move. The guards, noticing him, laugh and mockingly tell him to return to his cell. Trembling with fear, Zantor walks back to his cell, crying bitterly for his mother.
