Yakubu Yahaya

Right from when I was knee high in nursery school I’d shown a flair and interest ; if not obsession for all things artistic. This led to me trying my hands out on any form of artistic expression I came in contact with.

I took and excelled in art courses all through my secondary education making the highest grades available in both fine art and literature.

This, paired with my somewhat commendable intellectual prowess led to studying law at the university. Regardless of the tasking nature of studying law, I, driven purely by passion still made out time to work on my craft leading to my recognition as a portrait artist and Spoken word poet. Also through the course of my study at the university won several awards relating to creativity and talent and also jointly founded a society for encouraging student regardless of their course of study to discover and develop their artistic abilities. 

Coming fresh off the conclusion of the Nigerian law school program I am eager to expend the boundless energy and passion for constructive creativity that is stored within me. 

I also am frankly just excited to be alive in one of the greatest eras for development of art in Africa and the world as a whole.
